The Gas Work Licence – Restricted to Servicing is made of selected units from CPC32713 Certificate III in Gas Fitting. It is designed to enable participants to service Type A domestic and commercial gas appliances, by applying for their Queensland Gas Work Licence – Restricted to Service Type A gas appliances. It can also be used as pathway to complete the Certificate III in Gas Fitting.
The subjects are from CPC32713 Certificate III in Gas Fitting and gas subjects from CPC40912 Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services.
The course can also serve as a great way to update your skills in the new AS5601-2013 and update training for new gas equipment with electrical and electronic gas control systems. With the latest information on Type A gas appliance servicing.
Who can do it?
This course is open to anyone looking to gain further comprehensive knowledge, additional qualifications, licensing and knowledge in servicing Type A appliances. This includes (but is not only for) licensed tradespersons within the plumbing, electrical, mechanical, electronics, instrumentation, domestic and commercial appliance repairs, metal work, refrigeration and air-conditioning industries who are required to work on Type A domestic and commercial gas appliances.
What are Type A gas appliances?
Type A gas appliances are used for commercial and domestic use. A program can be followed to test and certify the same type of appliance for mass production.

Gas deep fryers, six burner gas ranges, gas ovens, gas combi-ovens, gas steamers, salamanders, churrascos, paella gas grills, BBQ grills.
Display flames, gas fired bain-marie, salamanders, teppanyaki grills, tan-door cookers, naan bread cookers, large brat pans, gas steam jacketed cookers, steaming ovens and gas fired toaster ovens
Domestic Gas Appliances
Gas cookers, gas cooktops, domestic BBQ, gas stoves, gas hot water systems like Bosch Hot Water, Rheem gas hot water units, Rinnai Hot Water units.
