Darrel Vecchio

CEO

Darrel is the Founder of Bizmatrix and a Licensed Electrician (Special Class / Electronic). He also holds a Type A Gas Work Licence, Type B Gas GWA, and Type B Gas Approval Authority. With a strong background in specialist technical services across the industrial and commercial gas sectors, as well as the commercial food equipment industry, Darrel is deeply passionate about supporting, mentoring, and protecting the trades.

As President of the Queensland Gas Association Inc., Darrel plays an active leadership role in advocating for industry standards, skills development, and the future of gas and energy technologies. He is committed to sharing knowledge and creating a learning environment that develops not just tradespeople, but skilled, forward-thinking technicians ready to adapt to tomorrow’s evolving technologies.

Darrel’s mission is to lift industry standards, inspire excellence, and help safeguard the future of the trades by empowering the next generation with practical skills, confidence, and professionalism.

Matt Parkinson

Type A gas, Appliance specialist and Type B gas Trainer | Educator

Matt is a highly experienced and licensed appliance technician with over 25 years’ industry experience. He holds a Type A Gas Work Licence, Type B Gas Licence, and a Restricted Electrical Licence, and has worked extensively servicing and installing both electrical and gas appliances across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.

As a specialist trainer at Bizmatrix, Matt brings a strong technical background combined with a genuine passion for education. He is committed to developing capable, compliant technicians and enjoys sharing his real-world knowledge, practical insights, and problem-solving skills with his students to help them succeed in the industry.

James Penny

Specialist Gas /Electrical Educator | Office Manager

James is the Office Manager at Bizmatrix and a Specialist Gas Trainer Educator for Type A and Type B gas training.

He is a qualified Type A Gas Fitter and holds a Gas Work Licence and Restricted Electrical Licence, bringing over 35 years of experience in the gas industry to his role.

James has extensive technical knowledge and continues to play an important role in supporting students through practical, industry-focused training. As Office Manager, he also helps support the day-to-day coordination of the Bizmatrix team and training operations.

James has a strong passion for education, technical learning, and sharing his industry experience with students.

James enjoys imparting his experience to his students.

Shane Cameron

Gas/Technical Trainer | Educator

Shane brings over 25 years of industry experience and has been a valued member of the Bizmatrix team throughout that time. He is a licensed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, holds a Gas Work Licence, is Type B gas qualified, and also holds a Restricted Electrical Licence.

As the Lead Trainer and Assessor, Shane delivers the Certificate III in Gas Fitting, Gas Service Licence courses, and is the Lead Trainer for Gas Stationary Engines within the Type A gas programs. Shane is highly regarded for providing students with real-world, current industry knowledge, ensuring their learning journey is practical, compliant, and directly applicable to today’s gas and energy environments

Marcus Zammit

Senior Electrical Trainer Educator

Marcus is a senior Trainer and Assessor for Bizmatrix’s Restricted Electrical Licence courses.

He holds a Certificate IV in Electrotechnology and an Electrical Licence, bringing practical knowledge of the electrical industry to his training role.

Marcus has experience delivering electrical workplace training and has a strong background in WHS, HSEQ compliance, risk management, audits, and incident investigations.

Marcus combines technical electrical experience with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and practical workplace outcomes.

Jordan Ash

Type A gas & Restricted Electrical | Educator

Jordan is Bizmatrix’s Senior Trainer in Victoria for Service Type A Gas. He is a qualified Gas and holds Type A Gas, plumbing Registration Licences, and a Restricted Electrical Licence, bringing extensive technical and industry experience to his role.

Based in Victoria, Jordan leads Service Type A Gas and Restricted Electrical training, while also providing virtual classroom support and contributing to course development.

His focus is on equipping students with practical, real-world skills and the confidence required to work safely, competently, and compliantly in today’s gas and energy industries

Teppie Gonzales

Compliance/ Daily Improvement Guru

Teppie is dedicated to maintaining quality standards through a continuous improvement approach. Being involved in the VET sector for many years.

Teppie manages our daily improvement through systematic compliance checks and audits of our processes and helps maintain and improve our quality, while exceeding compliance.

Jill king

Administration / Customer Service

Jill is part of the Bizmatrix administration and customer service team, supporting both students and team members to have a smooth and positive experience.

She plays an important role in managing documents and keeping information organised, helping ensure day-to-day administration runs efficiently.

Jill is focused on helping people, improving processes, and making interactions with Bizmatrix as supportive and straightforward as possible. Her approach reflects her belief that there is always room to improve and make things better.

Michelle Crossan

eLearning Student Support

MIchelle supports the students and monitors our online students, assisting with connecting the support between the students and the trainers .

Michelle’s focus is on helping students and team members and providing a positive learning experience, with a stress-free smooth, and positive experience with Bizmatrix.

Matt Waugh

Advanced Type B gas Educator

Matt is a Trainer and Assessor for Bizmatrix’s Advanced Type B Gas Course and technical adviser.

He brings extensive hands-on experience in Type B gas appliances, HVAC heating systems, pressure vessel inspection, servicing, fault finding, repairs, and compliance requirements. Matt has experience supporting clients with maintenance regimes, documentation, and regulatory requirements, as well as organising and implementing training for junior staff.

Adrian Davidson

Type A Gasfitter Educator | Adviser Guru

Adrian is a qualified Type A gas fitter and guru on Caravan and marine gas systems. With years of experience with caravan and marine gas systems, leads our external specialist technical learning systems and is a valued member of the Bizmatrix Team.

David Williamson

Senior Type B gas Educator/Technical Specialist

David is a senior trainer at Bizmatrix, and has a wealth of experience with his passion education for learning all things technical. David enjoys imparting his experience to his students.
