Darrel Vecchio
CEO
Darrel is the Founder of Bizmatrix and a Licensed Electrician (Special Class / Electronic). He also holds a Type A Gas Work Licence, Type B Gas GWA, and Type B Gas Approval Authority. With a strong background in specialist technical services across the industrial and commercial gas sectors, as well as the commercial food equipment industry, Darrel is deeply passionate about supporting, mentoring, and protecting the trades.
As President of the Queensland Gas Association Inc., Darrel plays an active leadership role in advocating for industry standards, skills development, and the future of gas and energy technologies. He is committed to sharing knowledge and creating a learning environment that develops not just tradespeople, but skilled, forward-thinking technicians ready to adapt to tomorrow’s evolving technologies.
Darrel’s mission is to lift industry standards, inspire excellence, and help safeguard the future of the trades by empowering the next generation with practical skills, confidence, and professionalism.
Lorella Vecchio
Team Leader- Sales & Administration
Lorella is the Office and Accounts Manager at Bizmatrix, bringing extensive industry experience and a strong understanding of training operations and compliance requirements. She is known for her positive, approachable, and supportive attitude, and plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
As the primary point of contact for sales enquiries, accounts, enrolments, and office administration, Lorella provides clear, efficient support to students, clients, and the Bizmatrix team. Her attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to customer service help ensure a professional and seamless experience for everyone engaging with Bizmatrix
Matt Parkinson
Type A gas, Appliance specialist and Type B gas Trainer | Educator
Matt is a highly experienced and licensed appliance technician with over 25 years’ industry experience. He holds a Type A Gas Work Licence, Type B Gas Licence, and a Restricted Electrical Licence, and has worked extensively servicing and installing both electrical and gas appliances across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.
As a specialist trainer at Bizmatrix, Matt brings a strong technical background combined with a genuine passion for education. He is committed to developing capable, compliant technicians and enjoys sharing his real-world knowledge, practical insights, and problem-solving skills with his students to help them succeed in the industry.
Shane Cameron
Shane brings over 25 years of industry experience and has been a valued member of the Bizmatrix team throughout that time. He is a licensed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, holds a Gas Work Licence, is Type B gas qualified, and also holds a Restricted Electrical Licence.
As the Lead Trainer and Assessor, Shane delivers the Certificate III in Gas Fitting, Gas Service Licence courses, and is the Lead Trainer for Gas Stationary Engines within the Type A gas programs. Shane is highly regarded for providing students with real-world, current industry knowledge, ensuring their learning journey is practical, compliant, and directly applicable to today’s gas and energy environments
Jill King
Steve Elstone
Type A & Type B gas & Restricted Electrical | Educator
Steve is Bizmatrix’s Senior Trainer in Victoria for Service Type A Gas. He is a qualified Gas and Mechanical Engineer and holds Type A and Type B Gas Licences, a Restricted Plumbing Licence, and a Restricted Electrical Licence, bringing extensive technical and industry experience to his role.
Based in Victoria, Steve leads Service Type A Gas and Restricted Electrical training, while also providing virtual classroom support and contributing to course development. His focus is on equipping students with practical, real-world skills and the confidence required to work safely, competently, and compliantly in today’s gas and energy industries
David Williamson
Senior Type B gas Educator/Technical Specialist
David is a senior trainer at Bizmatrix, and has a wealth of experience with his passion education for learning all things technical. David enjoys imparting his experience to his students.
James Penny
Type A & Type B Gas & Specialist Gas Trainer Educator
James is a qualified Type A Gas Fitter with a Gas Work Licence with a Restricted Electrical licence, and with over 35 years of experience in the gas industry. A lead Type B gas trainer.
James is a specialist trainer at Bizmatrix, and has a wealth of experience with his passion for education, for learning all things technical. James enjoys imparting his experience to his students.
