    • Queensland: Move from a Gas Work Licence Interim to a Full Gas Licence.
    • Victoria & Other States: required for a Gas Registration or full Gas Work Licence.

Students learn how to:

  • Identify and document workplace hazards
  • Assess the likelihood and consequences of risks
  • Recognise when a risk is unacceptable and must be escalated

This unit ensures students will complete online learning, quizzes and conduct two (2) practical risk assessment scenarios to confidently manage workplace safety, communicate controls to others, and maintain compliance through practical, systematic risk management processes.

The Training Mix

  • Course timeline:
    • Approximately 8-10 hrs of online learning, quizzes and two (2) practical risk assessment scenarios to be completed over two (2) weeks, with a support day each week with fixed marking days. .
  • Online Leaning:
    • The bulk of the learning uses the bizelearn.com.au online learning portal which allows students the freedom to study in their own time and go back over any aspects that they fail to grasp first time.
    • Students can plan each week to achieve the due dates.
  • Online Student Support:
    • On a given day each week students have access with our expert trainers to discuss their submissions and receive assistance as required to ensure they complete the course to a high standard.

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for this course.

However, if you are completing this course to transition from a Gas Work Licence Interim or Gas Registration / Licence to a full Gas Work Licence or Gas Registration, you must provide evidence of:

  • A current Gas Work Licence Interim or Gas Registration or Gas Licence issued by the relevant State body.
  • Completed the Certificate III in Plumbing or Certificate III in Gas Fitting.

Course Requirements:

  • A computer or tablet with a webcam, mouse and microphone, with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office. We give you access to the additional free software required.
    • Second monitor is recommended.
  • Access to a reliable internet connection to join the virtual real-time trainer support. Personal headphones (recommended)
  • Ability to download, save and print (if required) learner material and standards supplied with the course.

Online learning gives you the flexibility to study from any location without the need for attending a face-to-face class. To successfully complete the course, you will also need to dedicate time to completing this course.
