Type B gas appliances course (CPCPGS4023)

Training in Brisbane & Other Australian Cities

Install, Commission & Service Type B Gas Appliances

The Bizmatrix Type B Gas Course is Australia’s Most Comprehensive Type B Gas Appliances course, hands down.  It includes important foundational gas training that the other programs leave out.

Why is that important?

  • We don’t just offer the bare minimum qualification.
  • You qualify with a complete set of skills and the ability to apply them in all the situations you’ll encounter in your career.
  • Because of our thorough approach, Bizmatrix students are highly regarded within the industry.
  • Prospective employers know Bizmatrix students possess superior skills and knowledge, and will be a big advantage to their company.

Based in Brisbane or Elsewhere, We Can Help

Bizmatrix runs the practical, face-to-face sessions at our Brendale Training Centre in Brisbane, and regularly in other cities like Sydney, Canberra and Hobart.

With our Mobile Training Centre we can also conduct on-demand training in other locations if there are sufficient numbers.

We also welcome interstate and international students, for example we recently had students from New Zealand.

Our Training is tailored to meet your local, state or country requirements. Contact us for further details on how we do this.

The Training Mix

Our course combines online training and practical face-to-face sessions for maximum flexibility. The online learning has several advantages:

  • You can complete all the theory before the face-to-face practical.
  • You can go back over topics, pausing and rewatching video lessons as many times as you like.
  • Online learning minimises your travel and time away from work.
    • Other training providers require face-to-face sessions which cost you in reduced leave, and, if training away from home, greater accommodation costs.
  • Virtual Classes with our trainers and Commitment Days make sure you stay on track and complete each module of the Online Learning.

Course Requirements:

The CPCPGS4023 Install, Commission and Service Type B Gas Appliances Course requires two prerequisite units:

  • CPCPCM2043 – Carry out WHS requirements
    • This is included in the Bizmatrix Type B Gas Online Learning as part of the Type A Gas Fundamentals module.
    • We include this in your Type B Gas course fee (unlike many other providers).
  • UEERL0004 – Disconnect-reconnect electrical equipment connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiring
    • This unit is not included in the Type B Gas course and must be obtained separately as per below.

UEERL0004 – Disconnect-reconnect electrical equipment connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiring

You’ll need to have UEERL0004 unit before starting the Type B Gas Course.

You can obtain this unit in several ways:

  • You may already hold it from a previous course, such as a Restricted Electrical Licence (REL) or a full Electrical Licence or equivalent.
  • You hold a current Restricted Electrical Licence (REL) or a full Electrical Licence or equivalent, to disconnect / reconnect
  • You can complete UEERL0004 on its own, or
  • You can complete it as part of a Blended- Restricted Electrical Course before starting Type B Gas course.

Whichever path suits you, Bizmatrix can help:

  • Option 1: Already have UEERL0004?
    • Just provide evidence and we’ll handle the paperwork.
  • Option 2: Want to do only UEERL0004?
    • We can enrol you for this unit alone and schedule it to suit you, ensuring it’s completed before Type B Gas Course .
  • Option 3: Want to do the REL course?
    • Bizmatrix offers a streamlined blended, cost-effective version you can finish before Type B Gas Course.

You can also choose to complete this unit with another provider if you prefer. Just make certain it’s done before you start the Type B Gas Course with us.

If any of the above isn’t clear, please contact us before registering.
