In order to acquire a Restricted Electrical License, it is important to have a proficiency in a range of different competencies, including air-conditioning, plumbing and gas, electronics, refrigeration as well as composite equipment. Once the course is completed, you will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment from Bizmatrix.

Content and Certification of the Restricted Electrical Licence Course

The Bizmatrix Restricted Electrical License Courses are blended and adapted to the type of learning program that is being conducted, so the training time will vary. As a result, the prerequisites of the program will also vary, so students interested in enrolling might wish to contact the Bizmatrix team for more information. Overall, however, students should expect the learning program to last between 6 and 10 days — the first half comprising online theoretical modules which are scheduled to be completed prior to the practical training, while the second half consists of on-site training at our facility. Once this part of the training is complete, and students have passed the assessment, they will be eligible to complete an application with the ESO in order to obtain the Restricted Electrical License.

This allows individuals to get fully recognized and operate as qualified professionals.

Those who hold a restricted electrical permit can complete this training course (obtained through the Queensland Electrical Safety Office), permit application can be made here. Only those with a base trade or calling as listed here a Full guide by the Electrical safety office on how to apply for an electrical licence are eligible otherwise if you have 3 years or more of unstructured experience. These units are selected from the UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

The training delivery time will vary; it will depend on the quantity of electrical units that student receives on their permit.

Step 1: E-learning online components approximately 3-4 days of online theory

Step 2: Once E-Learning is complete, students will come onsite for 3-6 days of comprehensive practical training at Bizmatrix Training Centre, Brendale.

The student must complete the online training within 3 months and attend the practical within a month after completing the online training- the E-learning and face-to-face training must be completed not prior to 2 months and within 6 months.

Step 3: An on the job logbook is to be completed after attending practical in class training. If the student does not have a supervisor able to sign them off, Bizmatrix can provide institutional log book experience at an extra cost.

Please note: Electrical online theory must be complete within three months after sign up date, and students must book face to face training dates on sign up. If you fail to attend this training after sign up (within 3 months) then you must pay a fee to rebook course $700, as once student confirms attendance, dates cannot be changed.

Course dates &  enrolments:

First step -enrol The courses commence soon after enrolment :

Step 1- complete the eLearning education and assessments ( approximately 20-30 hrs)

Step 2- complete the face to face practical requirement- ( 3-7 days  depending on units)

Step 3- Complete the logbooks in the workplace – (within permit period – min 3 months max 12 months)
