Gas work portal is going live on 1 July 2025
From 1 July 2025 Resources Safety and Health Queensland will introduce a new online portal designed to streamline processes to renew your gas work licence or gas work authorisation.
What’s changing?
- The renewal and new applications processes will be completed online on the RSHQ Portal (the Portal) in a few simple steps.
- The Portal uses the Australian government www.myid.gov.au identification verification service to keep your data secure.
- You will receive automated reminders, so you won’t miss a deadline.
- You will be able to update your contact details yourself through the Portal.
What to do next?
Stay up to date
- Ensure your contact details are correct and up to date to make sure you receive emails and messages from the inspectorate.
- To change or update your details send an email with the changes to gaslicence@rshq.qld.gov.au

Set up your myID verification account
- You must have a myID account set up to use the Portal. www.myid.gov.au

Set up your RSHQ Portal account
- RSHQ will transfer your information to the Portal
- You will receive an email and/or SMS from RSHQ with a link to your Portal account.
- Click the link and follow the instructions to finish setting up the account – then you’re ready to go.
