Bizmatrix’s May For Men 2019 fundraiser

We had a great turn out at our annual Bizmatrix Education’s May For Men event which raised $750 for MATES in Construction who does amazing work for suicude prevention in the construction industry.

Thank you to Jimmy Wilson and Paul Smith from BUSSQ who did a great job serving up a sausage sizzle while people from all different companies in the industry supported our cause and stood together to talk about the serious issue that MATES in Construction rallies. The Queensland Gas Association had a very successful raffle in aid of the cause with prizes such as tickets to the Caravan and Camping Show, Event movie vouchers and a great bundle from the Moreton Bay Regional Council own Mike Charlton a regular supporter of the event .

Guest Speaker Caine Ansel from MATES in Construction started the conversation about suicide among men in the construction industry. He spoke about how you can help your mates speak up about what they might be going through and banding with them in their journey. It was truly an eye-opening and informative experience.
