These questions help Bizmatrix determine whether you are suitable to enrol in the Restricted Electrical Licence Course in Brisbane based on your trade or occupational background, licensing pathway, availability and ability to meet the course requirements.

  • Any advice, training permit or training requirements issued by the Queensland Electrical Safety Office
  • Your access to the technology required for online learning and assessments.
  • Your employment or workplace context, where required, for practical tasks or logbooks.

You will need to:

  • Practical job experience under the "Electrical Permit" with the supervision of a licensed electrician (restricted or full).
  • Have or obtain the required safety equipment, test equipment and electrical tools required for this licence.

7. EEC-REL-BNE

The Restricted Electrical Course requires an electrical permit from the ESO to complete logbook tasks supervised by a licensed electrical person in the field. How will you complete this?

Note: A logbook is completed after the face-to-face training and is generally four (4) jobs per permit category, e.g.:

  • Disconnect & reconnect 230 Vac (4 jobs), locate and rectify 230 Vac (4 jobs), etc.
  • Blended REL/Type B Gas students are not required to complete logbooks. The required practical activities will be completed during the gas training course.
